All because of the fence

Well I did it! I finally got my garden fence up. I have to admit, I had a little help from the old husband. Originally he really didn't want to chip in. It was basically one of those,"it's your project, you handle it" kinds of things. I didn't mind either because usually when the two of us attempt to construct something together it turns into one old nasty fight. We do not. work. well. together. We just don't. It is a push and pull kind of thing. But then again that is our whole relationship, push and pull.

I feel like I am living with my complete opposite at times. Polar, seriously. Then again, that's why we must be attracted to one another. Not to repeat the old saying...we all know what it is but hey attracted is a good thing but maybe not meant for harmony. Who knows?

So the fence is up and we are still happily married and I am really utterly thankful for him volunteering to pitch in. I probably couldn't have done it without him admitting sheepishly. Now, we admit we are not professionals so the fence certainly didn't end up straight or perfect by any means but at least when I look at it, imperfections and all, I think of US putting it together...in harmony. I guess we were able to build a fence around us and not between us this time.
