A marriage checkup? How interesting! With all this talk about California and gay marriages...the news is just brewing with it. I just read about this thing called a Marriage Checkup. It is something that is basically in a clinical trial by the NIH where couples complete questionnaires and two in-person sessions that track and help circumvent trouble. So far, 171 couples in the Worcester, Mass., area are getting a Marriage Checkup. It claims to be helpful...I could see that.
Then I heard about this 5 year marriage contract where you can re-evaluate your marriage every 5 years to see if you want to stay married, that sounds kinda nuts to me! What do you think of all this media attention on marriage. It is time it deserve more focus or should we just leave it alone?
